Kinder, Gentler Mike meets Rushaggedon?
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee launches his new radio show on Monday on the Cumulus network going head-to-head with Rush Limbaugh (h/t Politico). While not quite the clash of the titans, Huckabee’s brand, according to his network will be kinder, gentler. While Rush talks to his audience, Mike will talk with his audience.
“Our tagline is, ‘More conversation, less confrontation’,” Huckabee told POLITICO. “I’m going to treat every guest with respect and civility. Nobody is going to come on and get into a shouting match with me. That’s just not my style.”
Governor Huckabee has been on my short list for the Romney veepstakes, which is the reason for my website mention of his new radio show. If he becomes a viable alternative to Rush, don’t count him out as a Romney running mate, as ludicrous as that might seem to some at the moment. The conservative, Christian base is a very strong voting demographic, and combined with the Catholic vote, that is still up in the air over the Obamacare mandate, you may have just enough votes to swing the election. Stay tuned.
